The Process of Time and the Fine-Structure Constant: A Topological Field Approach
Abstract
This paper presents a framework where time is an emergent quantity derived from failed transitions within a continuous field. Built on three core axioms and the Chernoff approximation theorem, the model yields a master equation with a self-organizing 40/20/40 stationary distribution. The theory demonstrates 2D-3D consistency, maintains detailed balance, and scales with the fine-structure constant (1/137). Falsifiable experimental protocols based on NMR decoherence times are proposed
