Dashboard evaluation & user ac-ceptance: results and recommendations
Abstract
This deliverable presents the evaluation of dashboards developed in the PARMENIDES project, assessing user acceptance, interpretability, behavioural response, and design effectiveness across two pilot contexts: a public-facing deployment in Gasen, Austria, and an interactive user dashboard tested in Sweden at KTH. The Austrian dashboard supports communication and community engagement, demonstrating high levels of trust, awareness, and emotional connection through narrative visualisation and public display. The Swedish dashboard supports operational decision-making for occupants and facility managers, showing strong perceived usefulness when energy, emissions, and comfort indicators are presented transparently. Results indicate that dashboard effectiveness depends not only on data quality but on translating technical information into meaningful, context-specific insights. The cross-pilot evaluation highlights a replicable, human-centred design approach that strengthens trust, informed decision-making, and user acceptance of Energy Community solutions.
