Symbolic Mechanics — Volume VII: Attraction Tension Mechanics (v0.1)
Abstract
Volume VII of Symbolic Mechanics formalizes the phenomenon known as “attraction tension”—a mechanical output generated when three structural variables coexist: visibility differential, boundary rigidity, and exit-structure homology. Unlike psychological accounts that attribute attraction to emotion, preference, or biological drives, this volume describes attraction tension as a deterministic consequence of internal symbolic architecture. This document establishes: (1) that visibility differentials (ΔV) trigger innate displacement vectors independent of cognition, (2) that boundary rigidity (Rₛ) prevents approach-compression even under high attraction load, creating mechanical counter-force, (3) that homology in exit structures produces the internal illusion of mutual “recognition,” and (4) that the simultaneous activation of these three variables yields a unique oscillatory tension commonly interpreted as attraction. Attraction tension is treated here not as an interpersonal dynamic but as a structural phenomenon emerging from the interaction between symbolic seating, visibility fields, and boundary mechanics. This volume completes the bridge between the safety-distance framework of Volume V and the visibility-field specification of Volume VI, showing how their integration produces the system-level tension often misread as emotional or biological.
