The Principle as a Condition of Occurrence On Possibility, Eventhood, and Ontological Priority
Abstract
This paper offers a pre-theoretical clarification of the notion of principle, understood not as an originating event, causal mechanism, or physical entity, but as a condition of possibility for occurrence itself. Rather than advancing an explanatory or empirical claim, the work articulates a minimal ontological distinction between events, causation, and the structural condition that makes occurrence intelligible. By situating the principle outside the domain of time and eventhood, the paper provides a conceptual framework compatible with multiple cosmological descriptions, including Big Bang models, without commitment to any specific scenario. The contribution is clarificatory in scope, making explicit an ontological architecture implicitly presupposed by any discourse in which events are said to occur.
