Abstract

Mortality as Parameter treats finitude as a boundary condition rather than a theme. The claim is not biological novelty and not existential advice. It is a structuralstatement: when time, irreversibility, and exposure are finite, systems and agentswill regulate knowability and commitment to remain survivable. In the Pro series, this capsule provides a speakable layer that explains why the closed-core operations(PRO-1 to PRO-4) are stable: closure, displacement, and substitution become rationalunder bounded life, bounded attention, bounded resources, and asymmetricpenalties. The capsule defines finitude parameters (time horizon, irreversibility, exposure, and attention), specifies observable attitudinal traces (selective silence, narrative minimalism, non-instrumental articulation), and sets strict constraints thatkeep the concept non-prescriptive. It contains no tactics, no optimization recipes, and no interventions; it formalizes a disciplined stance: treat the boundary as real, and let it constrain what is said, promised, and pursued under scrutiny.
