Familiar but Surprising Accumulations of Matter: An Introduction to the Idea that All Matter Is Saturated Space-Phase
Abstract
One of the greatest obstacles to accepting that all matter may be saturated space-phase isnot scientific evidence, but everyday intuition. Matter feels solid, bounded, and obvious.Space feels empty, passive, and inert. Yet many ordinary processes on Earth alreadycontradict this intuition. Large, tangible structures routinely assemble themselves fromsources that are invisible, diffuse, or seemingly insubstantial. These familiar examplesprovide a natural entry point to the idea that matter is not imported from elsewhere, butaccumulated from a pervasive medium.
