Abstract

Poster presented at the EuroTech Hydrogen Winter School, Munich, Germany, 2025. A high-quality spinel coating was successfully developed as a precursor for a protective interconnect layer, while single-cell testing provided crucial insights into the trade-offs between performance optimization andcarbon deposition risk. The application of advanced diagnostics like EIS and DRT proved effective fordegradation detection. Future work will focus on long-term testing to validate coating durability andquantify degradation rates, with the application of non-conventional diagnostics analysis (total harmonicdistortion), alongside the integration of hot gas desulfurization and SOFC modeling.
