Analysis of Risk-Cost Estimation in the Fisheries Website Redesign Project: A Case Study of CV. Akua Life Indonesia
Abstract
Advances in digital technology have necessitated a strategic shift in how companies interact with the market, especially in the fisheries sector. For CV. Akua Life Indonesia, a website serves not only as a transactional platform but also as a vital branding tool. This study aims to identify and analyze the risk factors that influence cost estimation in the redesign project of the Aqualife website. Using a risk-cost approach, this research integrates the Software Development Risk Taxonomy (SDRT) and Use Case Points (UCP) method to provide a more realistic financial and effort projection. The results identified six critical risk dimensions: Requirements, Planning and Control, Project Complexity, User, Team, and Organization. The calculation resulted in a Risk Coefficient ((Cr) ̅) of 2.68 and a Risk Score (RS) of 1.21. These figures led to a revised estimate of 76.27 UCPRisk. Consequently, the project required an estimated 625.38 man-hours with a total budget of Rp40.667.775. Data gathered after the project showed a 52.98% rise in website traffic and a 57.67% boost in user engagement. These results prove that incorporating risk into financial planning leads to better project outcomes and stronger business growth.
