A Pattern-Based AI-Assisted Exploratory Framework for Interpreting the Voynich Manuscript – Dataset
Abstract
The Voynich Manuscript remains one of the most enigmatic texts in history, written in an unknown script with numerous illustrations of plants, animals, and human figures. This study presents the first comprehensive reference of the manuscript, including a dictionary of recurring symbols and words, grammatical rules and linguistic patterns, transliterations and approximate translations of all 200 pages, and mapping of symbols to illustrations. This research introduces new scientific contributions, including previously undocumented linguistic patterns and a systematic reference for the manuscript. The study was conducted with the assistance of the AI model ChatGPT to support pattern recognition and linguistic analysis. The methodology combines visual analysis, pattern recognition, and structured translation, providing a scientific framework for future research. Keywords: Voynich Manuscript, cryptolinguistics, pattern analysis, AI-assisted research, symbolic scripts, undeciphered texts, computational philology
