Fluid–Viscosity Imbalance and Hyperglycemia: A Hemodynamic Interpretation of Glycemic Elevation
Abstract
This work presents a conceptual interpretation of hyperglycemia through the lens of internal fluid dynamics and vascular rheology. It proposes that circulating glucose concentration may be influenced not only by metabolic production and insulin action but also by plasma volume status, hemoconcentration, and viscosity-related shifts in the internal milieu. By viewing certain glycemic elevations as partially reflective of fluid–viscosity imbalance rather than solely intrinsic metabolic failure, this narrative encourages a physiology-based perspective on dynamic glucose fluctuations. This contribution is strictly conceptual and educational in nature, without diagnostic criteria, quantitative thresholds, or therapeutic protocols.
