Dataset for Tsukano et al. 2026 "Orbitofrontal cortex drives predictive filtering of sensory responses"
Abstract
This repository contains neuronal response traces acquired from two-photon calcium imaging and unit recordings for the following publication: Tsukano H, Garcia MM, Dandu PR, Kato HK (2026) Orbitofrontal cortex drives predictive filtering of sensory responses. Nature Neuroscience 29:888-900. https://doi.org/10.1038/s41593-026-02217-z 2P imaging Neuronal activity traces are stored in the sortedtraces files, where each dataset is organized in a cell × time matrix format. Traces from both the first and last days of the daily imaging sessions are included. Detection results for neuronal excitation and suppression are stored in the exc_inh files. In these files: Column 1 indicates whether a neuron shows significant excitation (1 = significant).Column 2 indicates whether a neuron shows significant suppression (1 = significant). Unit recording Frontal cortex recordingsFor frontal cortex recordings, single-unit activity traces averaged across trials are provided as PSTH files. Each dataset is organized as a unit × time-bin matrix (0.5-s bins, spanning from 5 s before to 20 s after sound onset). Data are grouped by brain region (OFCvl, M2, and other frontal regions), and traces from naive and habituated mice are saved in separate files. Files labeled "excited" contain binary vectors corresponding to the rows of the matching PSTH files, indicating whether a unit shows significant excitation (1 = significant). A1 recordingsFor A1 L2/3 recordings, multi-unit activity traces averaged across trials are provided as PSTH files. Each cell corresponds to a single mouse, organized as a unit x time-bin matrix (0.1-s bins over 5 seconds, with illumination starting at t = 2 s). Data from OFC-ChRmine mice and no-opsin control mice are saved in separate files.
