Symbiotic Integration as Survival Imperative: Mathematical Framework for Controlled Biological-Machine Convergence
Abstract
This paper argues that the symbiotic integration of biological and machine intelligence is a mathematical necessity for maintaining cognitive effectiveness as environmental complexity outpaces human capacity. The study demonstrates that a combined architecture minimizes systemic disorder more effectively than either human or machine systems acting in isolation. By formalizing a framework for convergence based on managed conflict and the gradual allocation of autonomy, the research establishes rigorous safety thresholds and identifies critical risks through structural analysis. A key contribution is the definition of the Disintegration Capacity Constraint, which sets a mandatory limit on the depth of integration to ensure that a human user retains viable cognitive independence in the event of an emergency system separation.
