The Scalar Drag Emergence Framework (SDEF) : Foundational Ontology, Parameters, and Laws
Abstract
This work presents the foundational ontology of the Scalar Drag Emergence Framework (SDEF), a parameter-based approach to physical structure. SDEF proposes that physical existence consists of discrete timestamps carrying conserved parameters whose coordinated persistence defines observable structure. Six parameters are introduced - Partition Coherence Status (PCS), Ancestry Compression Gradient (ACG), Corridor Polarity Overlay (CPO), Latency Gradient Factor (LGV), Ancestry Reach Function (ARF), and Mechanical Rhythm Integrity (MRI). The framework establishes four fundamental laws : (1) Existence requires nonzero parameterization, (2) conservation of parameters under transfer, (3) domain-specific parameter manifestation, and (4) bounded parameter behavior (no absolyute zero or infinity). Coherent, decoherent and incoherent regimes are formally defined, along with the transfer rule based on minimal parameter-loss compatibility. The paper is strictly foundational. It does not derive dynamical equations, reinterpret existing physical theories, or present empirical applications. Its purpose is to define the primitive ontology and conservation structure upon which subsequent dynamical and cosmological developments may be constructed. The manuscript is released as Version 1.0 to establish the formal baseline of the framework.
