Active Horizons and the Dynamical Production of Spacetime A Covariant Unification Framework
Abstract
The continuous growth of black hole interior volume is a robust semiclassical phenomenon, observed across classical, quantum, and holographic analyses. In this work, we develop a co-variant effective framework in which this growth is interpreted as the dynamical production ofspacetime volume.Spacetime is modeled as a granular medium composed of elementary quanta of geometryand subject to a relativistic maximal density bound. Horizons are treated as active interfacesconverting infalling energy into interior volume through a phenomenological energy–to–geometryconversion law. The framework is formulated by supplementing the Einstein equations with aneffective geometric sector and a covariant exchange current, ensuring local energy–momentumconservation, causal consistency, and the absence of preferred frames.By fixing the conversion coefficient through semiclassical matching to the Christodoulou–Rovelli interior volume growth law, the framework reproduces the universal growth coefficientwithout introducing additional free parameters. The resulting dynamics admits a unified inter-pretation in terms of loop quantum geometry, holography, and quantum information. The present construction is phenomenological and does not rely on a microscopic derivation. It provides a testable effective description of spacetime production at horizons and suggests aunified physical mechanism underlying black hole interiors and emergent spacetime.
