Abstract

biodiscvr provides a data-driven framework for discovering and evaluating optimised biomarkers defined as ratios of composite values (Composite Value Ratios). It is specifically designed to handle longitudinal multi-cohort datasets, using a novel multicohort regularisation approach to identify biomarkers that are robust and generalizable across independent populations. This release (v1.3.0) incorporates significant updates from the JOSS peer-review process, including formalised methodology descriptions, narrative-style vignettes with executable synthetic-data examples, and expanded documentation detailing the software architecture.
