Cold Fusion is obsolete and should be replaced by Cold Redistribution
Abstract
It is shown that the term "fusion" is inappropriate for the nature of nuclear reactions at relatively low temperatures and should be replaced by the term "redistribution". Reactions involving the redistribution of nucleons between two identical nuclides located in close proximity are presented. These reactions provide a qualitative and quantitative explanation for the significant difference in the percentage of elements in the Earth's crust compared to the percentage of the same elements in interstellar space, from which the Earth's crust formed. An alternative explanation for nucleosynthesis, which produced the heavy elements, is presented
