Refinement of the B[e] Supergiant Nature of LHA 115-N 82:Discovery of 667-day Photometric Period
Abstract
We report the analysis of the unclassified emission-line star LHA 115-N 82 in the Small Magellanic Cloud. Using Gaia DR3 astrometry and ASAS-SN long-term photometry, we confirm its nature as a B[e] supergiant (sgB[e]). For the first time, a robust photometric period of 667.260.05 days has been identified, classified as GCAS-type variability. These findings provide critical constraints on the circumstellar disk dynamics of this poorly studied object.
