The Φ Continuum and Ψ Fields in the Asymmetric Source Field Model (ASFM): Residual Interference, Valence Structure, and Fission Applications
Abstract
This release provides a compact technical note introducing the Φ continuum and the associated Ψ fields within the Asymmetric Source Field Model (ASFM). In ASFM, physical structure is represented as an emergent consequence of interfering spherical-wave sources and their phase-coherent superposition across scales. The Φ continuum is treated as the global, structured background medium in which the field components evolve and in which stable interference nodes can persist. The model uses two complementary field components, a constructive (matter-like) contribution Ψ_M and a conjugate (antimatter-like) contribution Ψ_A/Ψ_C, whose balance is regulated by a radial attenuation factor α(r). The observable configuration is expressed through the residual field Ψres(r,t)=ΨM(r,t)−α(r) ΨA(r,t),\Psi_{\mathrm{res}}(r,t)=\Psi_M(r,t)-\alpha(r)\,\Psi_A(r,t),Ψres(r,t)=ΨM(r,t)−α(r)ΨA(r,t), so that stable minima / nodes of Ψres\Psi_{\mathrm{res}}Ψres serve as the primary geometric markers of structure. A key aspect of the framework is the explicit phase dependence of the residual interaction energy (formal analogy to Josephson-type coupling), which highlights how controlled phase offsets can stabilize or suppress node formation. Beyond the foundational field definitions, the note summarizes two application directions: Valence structure: how stable outer-region nodes of Ψres\Psi_{\mathrm{res}}Ψres can be interpreted as valence-relevant coherence sites, motivating a geometric route to valence electron counting via node multiplicity and stability in the outer shell region. Fission: how residual-field node clustering across radial zones can be mapped to fragment-like attractors, providing a structural interpretation of asymmetric fragment formation as a consequence of phase-biased residual interference. This upload contains English and German versions it is intended as a citable technical note of the Φ-continuum / Ψ-field layer of ASFM and as a bridge between the general framework and specific ASFM simulations of atomic valence and nuclear fission.
