Abstract

This file presents an educational methodology that employs parallel projections from R4 to R3 to visualize complex surfaces and their tangent spaces, thereby revealing the geometric nature of the complex derivative. We develop compact, accessible code in Wolfram Mathematica that enables instructors and students to explore complex functions f:C->C as surfaces in four-dimensional space, along with their tangent planes at specific points.
