Space-Phase Coherence as a Discriminator Between SP3 and General Relativity in Galactic Rotation Dynamics
Abstract
Galaxy rotation curves provide one of the most precise empirical probes of large-scaledynamical structure. Observations show that many spiral galaxies exhibit flat rotationcurves, where orbital velocity remains approximately constant with radius instead ofdeclining as expected from central mass concentration alone. This phenomenon hastraditionally required the postulation of invisible dark matter halos or modifications togravitational law.Within the SP3 space-phase framework, flat rotation curves emerge not from unseen massbut from sustained coherence of the space-phase substrate across galactic scales. Thiscoherence enables guidance behavior that maintains orbital velocity consistency overlarge radii. Critically, SP3 predicts that flat rotation curves are contingent upon a coherencefactor exceeding a threshold determined by mass-energy density distribution andstructural organization. Where galaxies fail to achieve or maintain sufficient coherence—such as in dwarf galaxies or bulge-dominated systems—guidance weakens and flatrotation curves fail to develop or persist. This conditional emergence of flat rotation curves constitutes a discriminator between SP3and General Relativity. GR predicts gravitational behavior solely from mass-energy contentand spacetime curvature, requiring dark matter to explain flat curves but providing noindependent predictive parameter governing when flat curves should or should not emerge. In contrast, SP3 predicts that coherence governs guidance strength and thus predictsspecific structural and morphological conditions under which flat curves will occur or fail. This predictive conditionality establishes space-phase coherence as an empiricallytestable discriminant between SP3 and gravity-only frameworks.
