Abstract

This work proposes a falsifiable structural hypothesis regarding minimal dynamical conditions required for reportable conscious states in biological systems. The framework avoids metaphysical claims and does not equate consciousness with information. Instead, it formalizes measurable system-level properties—recurrent integration, attractor stability, self-referential update, embodied coupling, and critical information differentiation—whose joint presence is hypothesized to correlate with conscious report. The model is explicitly stated as empirical and open to confirmation or rejection.
