Abstract

This dataset contains clinical, instrumental, and user-reported data collected within a feasibility study investigating the rehabilitative and assistive effects of a paediatric knee exoskeleton (Agilik) in 8 children with cerebral palsy (CP). Eight participants completed a 10-session rehabilitation programme. Data were collected at baseline (T0) and post-intervention (T1). The dataset includes: Demographic and clinical characteristics Gait endurance measured by the Six-Minute Walk Test (6MWT) Gait speed, assessed using the Ten-Meter Walk Test (10MWT) Spasticity of lower-limb muscles graded using the Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS), which quantifies resistance to passive movement on a 0–4 scale, with higher scores indicating increased muscle tone Muscle lengths and joint range of motion (ROM) of the lower limbs, measured via physical examination and manual goniometry Balance and postural control parameters derived from force platform analysis (Center of Pressure sway path and sway area under four standing conditions: eyes open/closed, feet apart/together) Three-dimensional gait analysis data acquired with the GRAIL system during level-ground, uphill, and downhill walking. Sagittal-plane hip, knee, and ankle joint range of motion (ROM) were extracted and averaged between limbs. Gait analysis was performed both to evaluate rehabilitative effects (T0 vs T1 comparisons) and to assess the assistive effect of the exoskeleton at T1 (walking without vs with Agilik under the same conditions). User satisfaction scores derived from a child-adapted version of the QUEST 2.1 questionnaire (7-point Likert scale), including device-related and service-related domains This work was supported by the Italian Ministry of Health (Ricerca Corrente 2022/2025 to E.
