Active Beaconing for Self-Referential Navigation: Proposal of the "KEMONO Principle" Based on Active Information Writing into the Environment
Abstract
This paper proposes the KEMONO Principle, a navigation framework in which autonomous agents actively write semantic beacons into the environment, transforming navigation from a read-only to a read/write paradigm. By embedding contextual information, agents self-correct localization errors, share knowledge collectively, and achieve robust navigation even in GPS-denied or featureless extreme environments.
