Abstract

This paper formalizes justice as a structural stability condition in governed systems. Justice is defined as invariant-preserving motion within a bounded constraint interval. Two symmetric structural failure modes are identified: chaos (underconstraint leading to invariant escape) and tyranny (overconstraint leading to persistent compression and rupture). The paper introduces invariant binding as the minimal structural correction to dyadic instability, defining non-duality as invariant-constrained differentiation rather than elimination of difference. A Justice Potential is defined as a Lyapunov-style scalar combining invariant deviation, pressure accumulation exceeding lawful drainage capacity, and persistent compression-phase occupancy. Under phase-admissible governance, the Justice Potential is required to be non-increasing. The framework is domain-neutral and introduces no implementation mechanisms. Its purpose is to establish conceptual priority for justice as a dynamic structural stability condition.
