Abstract

This dataset supports the article “Algorithmic Due Process in Policing: Contestability, Oversight, and Procedural Justice in Algorithmically Mediated Enforcement.” The repository contains structured documentation relating to a qualitative socio-legal study examining how algorithmic decision-support systems reshape police discretion, contestability mechanisms, and institutional oversight structures across three jurisdictions (England & Wales, the Netherlands, and Indonesia) during the period 2023–2024. The empirical component of the study is based on 24 semi-structured interviews with frontline police officers, supervisory officials, senior policy actors, civilian oversight representatives, and civil society stakeholders. To ensure confidentiality and protect participants involved in sensitive law enforcement contexts, full interview transcripts are not publicly available. This deposit includes: Interview metadata summary Codebook and thematic coding framework Interview protocol template Description of analytical procedures Summary of documentary sources used for triangulation The dataset has been anonymised and structured in accordance with qualitative research transparency standards. Due to ethical and confidentiality constraints, access to underlying interview transcripts is restricted and may be granted upon reasonable request, subject to institutional review and applicable ethical approval requirements. This deposit aligns with FAIR data principles by providing structured metadata, clear documentation of coding procedures, and a persistent identifier (DOI) to facilitate citation and research transparency.
