OFN IV. Cosmology as Reading Emergent Spacetime, Cartan Gravity, and Observational Signatures from the Static Ontological Fundamental Network
Abstract
A Radical Revision of Cosmology The Universe is not expanding. What we perceive as cosmological evolution is a sequential reading of an eternal static network. The Hubble redshift arises from attenuation of the activation field propagating through the network, with the Hubble constant emerging as a pure attenuation coefficient. The Cosmic Microwave Background at 2.7 Kelvin is the equilibrium activation noise of the network itself — not a remnant of a hot Big Bang. Mature galaxies at high redshift are not young; they are simply distant vertices in the static network. Dark matter emerges from topological phase holonomy, while dark energy is the irreducible background hum of the reading process. Its density is not a free parameter but a geometric invariant, derived from the golden ratio and the network's vertex degree, matching observations within three percent without any fine-tuning. This framework eliminates the Big Bang singularity, the horizon problem, and the cosmological constant problem, replacing dynamical expansion with pre-geometric structure and offering a suite of testable predictions for JWST, Euclid, and CMB-S4.
