Abstract

To investigate the influence of cumulus and microphysics parameterization on annual-scale precipitation simulation over China at 12.5km horizontal resolution, this study conducted nine experiments using the WRF model, encompassing three cumulus parameterization schemes and three microphysics parameterization schemes. Full-year simulations were performed for three representative years with wet, dry, and normal precipitation conditions. These data are stored in NetCDF format (.nc). Details of the sensitivity experiments in this study, numbers in the experiment names correspond to the option values for the respective schemes in WRF namelist file, more information on the schemes are listed as follows: Experiment name Cumulus scheme (CU) Microphysics scheme (MP) CU1_MP9 KF MYDM7 CU14_MP9 KASA MYDM7 CU16_MP9 New Tiedtke MYDM7 CU1_MP8 KF Thompson CU14_MP8 KASA Thompson CU16_MP8 New Tiedtke Thompson CU1_MP6 KF WSM6 CU14_MP6 KASA WSM6 CU16_MP6 New Tiedtke WSM6
