Empirical Validation of Social Stress Dynamics and Shielding Effects Using X (Twitter) Time-Series Data
Abstract
This third paper provides an empirical validation of the Stress–Forgetting–Shielding (SFS) theory using time-series data from X (formerly Twitter). We demonstrate that social stress dynamics following political controversies and crisis events can be quantitatively reproduced by the effective stimulus model Wef f = W/H. Forgetting rates, intervention timing, and shielding effects are estimated from observable data such as post volume and engagement. The results support the existence of an optimal intervention window and validate shielding dominance in real social systems.
