The Memory Field Paradigm: A Unified Framework for Inward Physics
Abstract
This self-published preprint synthesizes the author’s Inward Physics proposals around a hypothetical scalar memory-density field μ(x,t). It collects proposed relations for diffusion and relaxation, variance suppression, mass and gravity, temporal effects, coherence, and consciousness, alongside philosophical interpretations of “remembrance.” The equations and ontological claims are presented as a proposed framework rather than established physics. Evidence and testability clarification (20 October 2026): The three-page synthesis provides no new empirical data, independently validated predictions, or derivation demonstrating that the listed relations describe nature. Some quantities and couplings remain operationally undefined; a generic null result cannot by itself be converted into support by adjusting unspecified coupling constants. The separate Experimental Roadmap (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.18708708) proposes bounded tests and controls but reports no completed experiments. Computational examples elsewhere in the series test chosen equations, not the existence of a physical memory substrate or a mechanism for consciousness. Mathematical scope note (27 October 2026): In equation (1)’s spatially homogeneous constant-source limit with λ>0, μ(t) approaches μ0+S/λ exponentially. Positive initial density, nonnegative baseline and source keep that limiting trajectory positive; the stated variance and coherence formulas then give C=1−exp(−κA) in [0,1] for κ≥0. This is a conditional consequence of the proposed formulas. The full field model needs stated source, initial and boundary conditions that preserve μ>0, especially for its inverse-μ time-rate expression. Equation (2)’s exponential variance relation is posited, not derived from equation (1). The paper’s internal conceptual completeness is an authorial claim. External validation, peer review, and physical confirmation are not claimed. © 2026 Daniel Jacob Read IV. License stated in the deposited PDF: CC BY-NC-ND 4.0.
