Abhidhamma Cognitive Process Model and the Orch-OR Theory: Toward an Interdisciplinary Framework for Consciousness Studies
Abstract
This paper proposes an interdisciplinary framework comparing the Abhidhamma cognitive process model with the Penrose–Hameroff Orch-OR theory. The study explores conceptual parallels between Buddhist phenomenology and contemporary consciousness studies without claiming scientific equivalence. The objective is to develop a process-oriented interpretation of consciousness through comparative philosophical analysis.
