In-situ monitoring and 3D reconstruction with error compensation for laser powder bed fusion
Abstract
Code Description This code aims to achieve 3D reconstruction of LPBF (Laser Powder Bed Fusion) formed parts. It takes extracted layer-by-layer mask images as input and outputs a 3D point cloud model of the part in XYZ format. Required Parameter Modifications Before running the code, the following parameters must be modified according to your actual situation: INPUT_FOLDER - Path to the folder containing your layer mask images OUTPUT_FILE - Path where the resulting XYZ point cloud file will be saved layer_spacing - Actual spacing between layers in millimeters (mm) pixel_size_mm - Physical size of each pixel in millimeters (mm) After modifying these parameters, you can execute the code to perform the 3D reconstruction.
