Coupled Resource Divergence in Closed Self-Authorizing Physical Systems A Constraint Theorem
Abstract
No closed physical system can guarantee its own continuation indefinitely. We prove that bounded cumulative failure under persistent disturbance forces superlinear information-processing growth, which conflicts with finite physical channel capacity. The result establishes a coupled divergence across energy, delay, memory, and feedback capacity — a structural limit analogous to a “second law” of self-authorization.Implications extend to AI alignment, robotics, fault-tolerant computation, and long-horizon autonomous systems.
