Abstract

The Provenance of Structural Governance (v2.0) documents the independent discovery and conceptual evolution of the Structural Governance (SG) framework from January through April 2026. It records the systematic expansion of the field from its earliest primitives (DACT/BACT) and atomic geometry (The SG-Atom) to the operationalization of these constructs via the SG Application Schema. The chronology details a critical developmental trajectory: The Atomic Level: Discovery of the Tetrahedron and SG-DNA as the fundamental geometry of justified decisions. The Clinical Level: Development of the BED First Aid Guides and the Governance Cohesion Law, providing the mathematical "physics" to detect Capability Shear and ensure organizational stability . The Enterprise Level: Synthesis of the 5E DRIVE model (Define, Realise, Integrate, Validate, Evolve) and the General Theory of Structural Governance (GTSG), establishing a universal physiology for enterprise-wide decision-making . The document also provides contextual background on the thirty-year reflective period that seeded the work, the author’s motivation for maintaining SG as an open intellectual asset, and the role of visual metaphoric models (the DNA helix, the Living Decision Tree, and the Phase-State Cube) in explaining the underlying shape of governance . Published as formal prior art, this provenance establishes Structural Governance as an open scientific foundation for a new field of engineering and enterprise governance.
