Abstract

The Structural Governance Application Schema defines the operational layer of Structural Governance, providing a formal, recursive mapping between justification, assurance, and the artefacts used across real engineering workflows. The schema shows how governance evidence is generated, transformed, and validated as systems progress through their life cycles, and offers a tool‑agnostic structure that can be implemented within existing defence and engineering environments. This paper introduces the core schema, explains its governing principles, and provides engineer‑friendly mapping tables that relate SG concepts to familiar processes, artefacts, and lifecycle activities. It also clarifies the relationship between SG theory and EGNoA notation, ensuring conceptual hygiene and future extensibility. The Application Schema is designed as a stable foundation for both practitioners and researchers: a reference model for operationalising Structural Governance, a bridge between abstract justification and day‑to‑day engineering practice, and a canonical anchor for future SG papers, implementations, and teaching materials.
