Gauge Theory as Octonionic Projection: The Geometry of the 168 Monads
Abstract
We present a systematic translation between Kosmoplex Theory (KT) and Quantum Field Theory (QFT), establishing a candidate structural isomorphism at the level of representation content and counting. The 42 glyphs of KT decompose into 36 dynamical glyphs (mapping to the fermionic content of the Standard Model, including antiparticles and color states) and 6 structural glyphs (mapping to the vacuum/metric sector). The 168 walk-states or “monads” constitute the completekinematic basis, with four walk-classes per glyph corresponding to the four space-time directions of the projection. The Fano plane incidence structure maps onto the SU (3) × SU (2) × U (1) gauge symmetry, with oriented Fano lines reproducing the Lie algebra commutation relations. We provide one explicit dynamical demonstration: the translation of beta decay as a walk-state transition. This paper provides physicists trained in qft with a direct bridge to KT, and vice versa. We argue that KT is not an alternative to QFT but its geometric completion, explaining why the Standard Model has its particular structure. A program for amplitude-level equivalence tests is outlined.
