A–B Ontology: A Process-Based Framework for the Structure of Existence
Abstract
This accepted manuscript is structurally governed by THE META-INDEX (Zenodo DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18169167) This version refines the conceptual structure of A–B Ontology by clearly articulating the ontological status of the observer, introducing organizational monism as the central interpretive framework, and stabilizing the threshold-based terminology. Language has been clarified to reduce speculative elements, redundancies removed, and the explanatory focus sharpened while maintaining the core ontology established in previous versions. This paper introduces the A–B Ontology, a process-based conceptual framework for interpreting organized existence. Rather than proposing a new physical force or metaphysical substance, the model describes stability as a recursive dynamic between two inseparable moments: activation (A) and stabilization (B). A represents the threshold condition under which energy enters an organized mode, while B denotes the temporarily sustained structural configuration that results from activation. Existence is therefore understood not as static substance but as the continuous regeneration of organized structure through activation–stabilization cycles. Within this framework, entropy is interpreted as the irreversible loss of organizational sustainability when activation can no longer be maintained. Consciousness is treated as a higher-order emergent state arising from complex and sustained A–B dynamics. Death, correspondingly, is defined as the dissolution of a specific organizational pattern rather than the annihilation of existence. The A–B Ontology offers a structural lens for interpreting organized systems across scales—from atomic structures to biological life and cognition—while remaining conceptually aligned with process philosophy and non-equilibrium thermodynamics.
