Why Sphere and Cube? A Confession of Guilt and a Necessary Step of Humility: Returning to Philosophy
Abstract
English: This paper provides the foundational justification for the geometricchoice at the heart of the Cradle Theory. We argue that the sphere-cube pairis not arbitrary but represents the unique geometric configuration capable ofencoding the fundamental dualities of physics: continuity and discreteness, the three spatial dimensions, and the emergence of fundamental constantssuch as π, √2, and ϕ. The sphere embodies continuous symmetry and themathematical constant π, while the cube represents discrete spatial structureand the three spatial directions. Their interaction generates the geometrictension that drives the SmallBang transition and ultimately produces the ob-served structure of the universe. This work establishes the philosophical andmathematical necessity of the sphere-cube system as the only possible start-ing point for a truly geometric unification theory.
