Geometric Cosmogenesis: A Theory of Everything from Unbounded Openness
Abstract
We present a unified geometric framework deriving all fundamental physics from a single axiom: unbounded openness exists. The potential for distance actualizes because nothing prevents it, and this actualized distance creates bidirectional motion generating intrinsic polarity as positive and negative charges at infinity. When these opposite poles meet, neutralization occurs with multiple possible outcomes depending on quantum fluctuations and meeting geometry. Failed neutralization, where poles cannot fully meet, creates ongoing tension manifesting as dark energy. Near-complete neutralization with tiny residuals produces dark matter. Incomplete neutralization with significant residual charge creates ordinary matter and forces. Complete neutralization produces vacuum. This spectrum of outcomes naturally explains the observed cosmic energy distribution without free parameters. From the geometry of neutralization spreading perpendicular to the polar axis, we derive three spatial dimensions as a necessary consequence. The sphere represents maximal physical closure in reality—no fourth perpendicular direction exists. While mathematics permits higher-dimensional constructs, these cannot physically exist, analogous to wormholes being mathematically consistent but physically impossible. We distinguish physical dimensions, which are ontological and limited to three, from state-space dimensions, which are epistemological and can be arbitrarily high. Complex systems like brains exist as three-dimensional physical objects while possessing higher-dimensional configuration spaces. The framework unifies general relativity as warping of the defined field, quantum mechanics as actualization states, and all four fundamental forces as different aspects of neutralization dynamics. Quantum entanglement emerges from particles sharing common neutralization events. Black holes, gravitational waves, particle types, spatial dimensionality, and cosmological structure all follow as necessary geometric consequences.
