Abstract

We present a strong-field test of emergent gravity using the 19.6-day jet precession observed in the tidal disruption event AT2020afhd. Interpreting the precession as Lense–Thirring frame dragging around a 5×10^6 M☉ black hole, we derive the first astrophysical upper bound on the kinematic viscosity of Viscous Emergent Spacetime (VES): ζ/ρ_info ≲ 2×10^21 m² s⁻¹ at ~8 gravitational radii. The study provides falsifiable predictions for future high-cadence X-ray observations, with potential period deviations of ~30 minutes for ε = 10^-3, enabling precision tests of emergent gravity in the strong-field regime. The dataset includes the full ApJL manuscript, figures, and Python scripts for figure generation.
