Abstract

๐Ÿ“„ Abstract Overview This paper introduces a dimensional analysis framework based on the golden ratio $\varphi$ to partition electromagnetic signal energy into 10 discrete protocol layers. By applying the dimensional function $|D|(E) = |\ln E / \ln \varphi|$, the author maps isotropic signal energies to specific scale numbers that align with astrophysical phenomena and civilization-scale engineering capabilities. The study specifically analyzes 144 bursts from FRB 121102, finding a significant bimodal distribution that aligns with the "Resonance" ($B_{172}$) and "Identity" ($B_{187}$) layers of the proposed protocol stack. ๐Ÿงฎ Core Mathematical Framework The fundamental mapping function converts energy $E$ (in ergs) into a continuous dimension space: $$|D|(E) = \frac{|\ln E|}{\ln \varphi}$$ Where the golden ratio $\varphi = \frac{1+\sqrt{5}}{2} \approx 1.618$. The Scale Numbers ($B_{n}$) The paper identifies 10 integer indices (Brahim numbers) that define the energy thresholds for communication protocols: 27, 42, 60, 75, 97, 117, 139, 154, 172, 187 Energy Conservation Invariant The framework proposes a conserved quantity across scales: $$E_{B}(x) = \varphi^{D(x)} \cdot 2\pi x = 2\pi$$ ๐Ÿ“ก The 10 Protocol Layers Index (Bn) Layer Energy (erg) Communication Function 27 Physical $4.39 \times 10^{5}$ Bit encoding 42 Datalink $5.99 \times 10^{8}$ Error correction 60 Network $3.46 \times 10^{12}$ Multi-hop routing 75 Transport $4.72 \times 10^{15}$ ISM delivery 97 Session $1.87 \times 10^{20}$ Persistent links 117 Presentation $2.83 \times 10^{24}$ Universal format 139 Application $1.12 \times 10^{29}$ Remote execution 154 Encryption $1.53 \times 10^{32}$ Cryptographic security 172 Resonance $8.83 \times 10^{35}$ Channel calibration 187 Identity $1.20 \times 10^{39}$ Identity broadcast ๐Ÿ›  The 34-Degree Technology Ladder The paper categorizes civilizations by their ability to generate signal energy, ranging from humanity's current TRL (Technology Readiness Level) to theoretical stellar engineering. Category A (RF Transmitters): TRL 5-9. Current radio astronomy (FAST, Arecibo class). Category B (Directed Energy): TRL 2-3. Fusion-powered transmitters, Starshot-class arrays. Category C (Stellar Engineering): TRL 1. Dyson swarms, stellar flare control. Category D (Multi-Stellar Engineering): TRL 1. Coordinated multi-star arrays, Dyson spheres. Kardashev Correspondence Type 0 (Humanity 2026): Maps to $B_{97}$ (0.1% deviation). Type I: Maps to $B_{117}$ (0.9% deviation). Type II: Maps to $B_{160}$ (approximate alignment). ๐Ÿ“Š Key Findings from FRB 121102 Analysis of 144 bursts reveals a non-uniform distribution: Bimodal Split: 61.1% of bursts map to the Resonance layer ($B_{172}$); 38.9% map to the Identity layer ($B_{187}$). Statistical Significance: A Kolmogorov-Smirnov test rejects uniform energy distribution within the observed range ($p = 1.48 \times 10^{-12}$). The "Gap": A factor-of-10 deficit in burst frequency exists between the two identified protocol modes. ๐Ÿ”ฎ Falsifiable Predictions The author provides five tests to validate the framework: Non-repeaters should cluster specifically near $|D| \approx 187$. Repeaters should consistently show bimodal distributions near 172 and 187. Magnetar analogs (like SGR 1935) should cluster near $|D| \approx 154$ (Encryption). Morphological differences: $B_{172}$ bursts should be simpler than $B_{187}$ bursts. Energy Gaps: A persistent deficit should appear at the $\varphi^{15}$ energy interval between protocol zones.
