Abstract

Choice freely allows students to mold their lives exactly on how they want it to be. The flexibility of choice is for the most part cherished or can conceivably have a displeasing result. What makes this world interesting is that everyone thinks differently. Life can be a long winding road with other roads splitting in many directions. But when it comes to one of the foremost critical choices in a person’s life, there will be only few choices and a few of them may cause more harm than good. Students face opportunities to select the academic track they want – intended or unintended. They need to spend time and develop a mentality on how to construct a significant future. When the Republic Act No. 10533, otherwise known as the 2013 Enhanced Basic Education Act was approved as a law, high school was divided into two (2) which extended it to six years, in which the first four (4) years now as (JHS) junior high school and the last two (2) years now called as (SHS) senior high school. This change was essential in making the graduates prepared for the labor market, especially if they will pursue higher education in college. Being in the Senior High School life will be colorful, not stressful. To enjoy the last two remaining years in high school, one must make sure that the student must like what strand or track he/she is going to take. This is a huge decision to make. In this stage, the student reaches a rail road crossing where is the right track to the desired career route. Choosing a career is difficult, but senior high school prepares students to make a pivotal decision that will affect their future. Adolescents tend to overthink and then forget the sense of wonder and interest. Students who have not seem to find their calling experience pressure when they find themselves in the middle of a juncture, not knowing which road to take The road to success isn’t without its ups and downs. The biggest issue here is making the K-12 program to make it efficiently work to get the intended results.
