Abstract

This is the original dataset utilised in the study 'Prediction of Steady-Flow Water Temperature in Rivers Using Time Series Encoding and Time-Domain Convolutional Networks: The TimENC-TCN Model', obtained via the following channels: The observed data for river stations in the UK are available at: https://environment.data.gov.uk/hydrology/explore#/landing The observed data for river stations in the USA are available at: https://maps.waterdata.usgs.gov/mapper/index.html The observed climate data for meteorological stations in the UK are available at: https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/research/climate/maps-and-data/historic-station-data The observed climate data for meteorological stations in the USA are available at: https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/ Some air temperature data were obtained from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Langley Research Center's Prediction Of Worldwide Energy Resources (POWER) project funded through the NASA Earth Science Division. The data were obtained from the POWER Project's Hourly v2.7.2 version on 2025/6/4.
