Geometric Cosmogenesis: A Theory of Everything from Unbounded Openness
Abstract
We present a unified geometric framework deriving all fundamental physics from a single axiom: unbounded openness exists. The potential for distance actualizes as two opposed poles—positive and negative charges at infinity—and this opposition defines the complete spacetime structure eternally. The entire four-dimensional geometry exists simultaneously outside of time. What we experience as the Big Bang, cosmic expansion, and evolution are not temporal processes but our path through an eternal structure. Time itself emerges as a dimension within this structure rather than as an external framework in which events occur. The Big Bang is not when the universe began but a geometric boundary of the structure, analogous to how the North Pole is a boundary without being where Earth begins. All moments—past, present, and future—exist with equal reality as different regions of the same eternal geometry. We traverse this structure sequentially, creating the illusion of temporal flow from a static four-dimensional entity. When we intersect different regions of the eternal structure, multiple neutralization outcomes manifest randomly. Failed neutralization, where opposing gradients cannot fully cancel, creates ongoing tension manifesting as dark energy. Near-complete neutralization with tiny residuals produces dark matter. Incomplete neutralization with significant residual charge creates ordinary matter and forces. This spectrum of outcomes exists as geometric properties distributed throughout the eternal structure, naturally explaining the observed cosmic energy distribution. From the geometry of neutralization spreading perpendicular to the polar axis, we derive three spatial dimensions as a necessary consequence. The sphere represents maximal physical closure—no fourth perpendicular direction exists in physical reality. We distinguish physical dimensions, which are ontological and limited to three spatial plus one temporal, from state-space dimensions, which are epistemological and can be arbitrarily high for complex systems. The framework unifies general relativity as curvature within the eternal geometric structure, quantum mechanics as our path selection through regions containing multiple possible states, and all four forces as different aspects of the gradient field geometry. Quantum phenomena—superposition, entanglement, uncertainty—emerge from the structure containing genuine multiplicity at quantum scales rather than being imposed as separate axioms.
