Abstract

This dataset contains anonymized and aggregated data used in the study investigating the impact of an Octalysis-driven gamification framework in large-scale introductory programming courses for non-computer science engineering students. The dataset includes: · Aggregated survey responses regarding motivational preferences for gamification elements, · Persona transition counts between two consecutive semesters, · Cumulative motivational weights derived from student-reported preferences. All data have been anonymized and aggregated at the group level. No personally identifiable information (PII), raw individual-grade records, or sensitive academic data are included. The dataset is provided solely for transparency, reproducibility, and secondary analytical purposes. The structure of the dataset allows replication of descriptive statistics, persona transition analysis, and cumulative motivational weight calculations reported in the manuscript. The dataset does not include raw exam papers, detailed grade breakdowns, or institutional records.
