Exclusive relativization of torque R2 in a singular impeller, model (E.W.)1u/2, on the plane (x,z)
Abstract
This third article in the Energy Wheel series examines the structural and energetic behaviour of the (E.W.)1u/2 single-weight impeller model through a comparative analysis of six geometrically scaled configurations. By systematically varying sphere diameter and mass, the study investigates the interdependence between mass growth (approximately proportional to D³), the reduction of the working vertical (hW), and the resulting mechanical work (W = m·g·hW). The tabulated results reveal a distinct energy maximum that does not occur at the largest mass, but at an intermediate configuration. This confirms a physically consistent optimization effect: as mass increases cubically while the available path decreases linearly, an energetic optimum is reached before geometric enlargement becomes counterproductive. Special attention is given to the relativization of torque R2 within the (x–z) plane and to the designer’s dilemma between structural mass, available path, and effective output. The presented table therefore expresses not only numerical comparison, but an identifiable mechanical regularity relevant for rational construction development.
