Abstract

The study of human development has been dominated by cognitive development and, to a lesser extent, moral development, while neglecting the broader architecture of what it means to develop as a whole being. This narrowing has obscured dimensions that are equally fundamental: how we perceive, feel, act, remain aware, orient ourselves through purpose and values, relate to nature and artifacts, reflect on existence, and glimpse beyond the structures of our own experience. This paper introduces the M¹⁰ Model, a unified framework articulating ten interdependent dimensions across three domains. The first domain, Being, comprises the M⁵ architecture of conscious experience: (1) perception, (2) affect, (3) cognition, (4) conation, and (5) awareness as the foundational integrative field. The second domain, Being-in-the-World, describes how Being becomes grounded and oriented: (6) moral development as the integration of Needs, Purpose, and Values, (7) ecological development, and (8) artifact development. The third domain, Being-in-Reality, describes the deepest levels of integration: (9) philosophical development as reflective inquiry into Being and existence, and (10) spiritual and transcendental development as open awareness beyond structural confinement. Human development is defined as the progressive differentiation, stabilization, and integration of all ten dimensions across these three domains. Five testable propositions are advanced. The model provides a unified foundation for research in psychology, consciousness studies, education, and human–technology interaction.
