Abstract

This photographic database documents the morphological diversity of seeds collected on beaches within a Marine Extractive Reserve (RESEX-Mar) located in Soure, Brazilian Amazon. The images correspond to seeds obtained through manual sampling during low tide and are linked to a floristic inventory of adjacent coastal vegetation. The database supports taxonomic identification, comparative analyses between the seed bank and established vegetation, and investigations of dispersal processes, particularly hydrochory, in coastal ecosystems. By providing visual reference material and associated ecological context, this collection contributes to studies on biodiversity conservation, natural regeneration, and ecological restoration in Amazonian coastal environments, highlighting the role of seed banks as reservoirs of genetic and propagule diversity.
