Abstract

This preprint introduces the Adaptive Polarity Regulation Framework (APRF), a hierarchical integrative model of self-regulation synthesizing control theory, emotion regulation research, dynamic systems modeling, and value-based meaning frameworks. APRF proposes Integrated Value Alignment (IVA) as a stabilizing anchor and formalizes polarity transmutation as a structured equilibrium-restoration mechanism. The manuscript outlines theoretical foundations, comparative positioning, operational constructs, and empirical testing pathways. This version is shared to invite scholarly dialogue and empirical evaluation.
