Oscillatory Hormesis: The Stagnant-Starvation-Building (SSB) Protocol for Differential Stress Resistance and Senolytic Purging
Abstract
The pursuit of biological rejuvenation has historically favored homeostatic continuity. However, biological systems evolved to navigate extreme environmental volatility. We propose the Stagnant-Starvation-Building (SSB) protocol, a tri-phasic intervention designed to maximize Differential Stress Resistance (DSR). By inducing "Anabolic Sensitization" (Phase I), we downregulate hormetic defense pathways and "trap" senescent cells via substrate inhibition and epitranscriptomic locking. This is followed by a "Catabolic Crisis" (Phase II) that selectively purges these populations via bioenergetic collapse and disruption of mitochondrial shields, and finally a "Regenerative Rebound" (Phase III) to restore tissue architecture. This framework treats rejuvenation as a biophysical reset of systemic entropy and informational fidelity.
