The article explores the concept of love and devotion as depicted in the works of Andal, a 9th-century Tamil poetess. Andal's poetry is a manifestation of her unwavering love and devotion towards Lord Vishnu, whom she considers her consort. The article examines how Andal breaks away from traditional norms and conventions, expressing her love and desire for the divine in a bold and uninhibited manner. Through her poetry, Andal conveys the idea that true devotion knows no bounds and that love is the ultimate path to spiritual realization.
